A handmade stoneware tea bowl for matcha, made in my studio on Ishigaki Island, Japan. Its softly rounded form and pale cream glaze bring attention to the curve of the bowl and the variations in its surface. This work forms part of my ongoing exploration of functional form, surface and material.
