Tea bowl matt

Sold

Japanese tea bowl to enjoy your delicious tea. The chawan is hand thrown by me and has a matt handmade ash glaze with a delicate and interesting touch. A chawan is particularly good for green tea, because delicious Japanese green tea is brewed with water of lower temperature. So you can drink it comfortably with your hands around the tea bowl.

Chawan means cha=tea, wan=bowl in Japanese.

Japanese tableware has been part of Japanese culture since ancient times. I fire my ceramics at high stoneware temperature at 1230-1250 degrees in my Japanese kiln. It’s built by a kiln master from Seto, which is one of the 6 ancient kiln villages in Japan.

I hope you will enjoy to use my ceramics, have a moment for yourself, share happy moments with loved ones and get a sense of inspiration from them.
